They all looked at me with such eyes that they’ve never seen before.

Every Mexican little girl grows up wanting a quinceñera– a coming of age party full of pomp and circumstance. The celebration is steeped in tradition and can cost a small fortune. Kathy Perez was thrilled have a quince… instead of arriving at the church in a limo, she arrived in a customized vehicle with hydraulic jacks.
